Die Gasse wurde 1862 nach dem Strohmagazin der Heumarktkaserne benannt. Sie entstand, als die Gründe der ehemaligen Villa Metternich parzelliert wurden. Bis 1893 verlief sie bis zur [[Obere Bahngasse|Oberen Bahngasse]], dann wurde sie bis zur Ungargasse verlängert.

Die Gasse wurde 1862 nach dem Strohmagazin der Heumarktkaserne benannt. Sie entstand, als die Gründe der ehemaligen Villa Metternich parzelliert wurden. Bis 1893 verlief sie bis zur Oberen Bahngasse, dann wurde sie bis zur Ungargasse verlängert.
