Namensgebung und Geschichte
Die Straße wurde am 6.11.1909 benannt nach Gundacker Ludwig Joseph Althan. Ab 4.6.1909 war sie als Franz-Josefs-Bahn-Straße, ursprünglich Althangasse (früher Große Schmiedgasse) und Spittelauer Gasse (früher Untere Schmiedgasse) zu finden.[1]
